Week 6: Volumes, Part II

So last week we started covering volumes of polyhedra, and this week we were able to make it through everything I wanted to discuss concerning volumes. At first I was a little nervous about how the class was handling the new material, but after seeing the change and progress we were able to make this week, I am proud to say that our class has been phenomenally improving. This week I want to give you all a break, and so the assignment is to use the pages on this site to create these polyhedra, and many others.

I expect to see a huge pile like this! I would love to decorate the classroom with all the different polyhedra you'll make. If you need paper in order to construct these beauties or have any questions, then feel free to contact me.

This week's goal:
  • Review different types of polyhedra and their properties
  • Construct polyhedra using paper and scissors (and maybe glue or tape)
Due Date:
  • Bring in to class at least ten unique polyhedra by the test date next Friday
